This afternoon around 2:30 firefighters responded to a report of a boat on fire next to a shop in the 29900 block of SE Currin Road. Crews arrived to find a boat on a trailer fully involved in fire. The adjacent shop had some charring but firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before it spread any further. There were no injuries as a result of the fire.
*Update*
Due to the proximity of the fire to a structure and it starting to catch fire additional resources were requested to respond. Once the firefighters arrived, they were able to quickly contain the fire and cancel other responding fire units. Five firefighters worked the incident for approximately 50 minutes extinguishing hot spots. The fire was determined to be accidental. The owner was dismantling the boat for scrap/salvage when equipment used to take it apart became hot, igniting old onboard fuel allowing the fire to spread quickly.

Firefighters are on scene of a greenhouse fire in the S. Frog Pond Ln and SE Folsom Rd area. The fire is under control, there are no injuries. Crews will be on scene for a while longer putting out hotspots. Please avoid the area. We will release more information as it becomes available.

**Update** The fire was contained to one greenhouse. Due to location and possibility for spread to exposures, mutual aid was requested from neighboring fire districts but ultimately not needed. Deputy Oregon State Fire Marshals are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
