The Professional Firefighters Association of Clackamas County is an International Association of Fire Fighters AFL-CIO affiliate Local. Local 1159 represents over 335 firefighters and paramedics from Canby Fire District #62, Clackamas Fire District #1, Estacada Fire District #69, Gladstone Fire Department, Lake Oswego Fire Department, Molalla Fire District #73 and Sandy Fire District #72. Our mission is to ensure that all members are treated fairly and equally focusing on wages, hours, working conditions, retirement securities and safety. It is our goal to improve the standard of living for our members, families and communities we serve.

Raised by a pastor and a small business owner, Lamar has spent his career fighting for working people. As an education and labor advocate, he expanded mental health resources and pushed to make college more affordable. In the legislature, Lamar has voted to lower taxes for hundreds of thousands of Oregonians and to make sure big corporations pay their fair share.

"Growing up in April’s family meant weekdays were for school and weekends were for trekking all across the state to discover Oregon's vast wilderness and pristine flyfishing waters. These formative experiences taught April to appreciate what a special place Oregon is, and how lucky we all are to call it home. As the daughter of a veteran and a civil rights lawyer, she learned the value of service and standing up for others at an early age."
