Professional Firefighters of Clackamas County
International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) - Local 1159
The Professional Firefighters Association of Clackamas County is an International Association of Fire Fighters AFL-CIO affiliate Local. Local 1159 represents over 335 firefighters and paramedics from Canby Fire District #62, Clackamas Fire District #1, Estacada Fire District #69, Gladstone Fire Department, Lake Oswego Fire Department, Molalla Fire District #73 and Sandy Fire District #72. Our mission is to ensure that all members are treated fairly and equally focusing on wages, hours, working conditions, retirement securities and safety. It is our goal to improve the standard of living for our members, families and communities we serve.
Today we said goodbye and celebrated the incredible 25-year career of Captain Ami Brown.
Captain Brown’s impact goes far beyond her years of service. Ami's been a mentor, leader, and friend to so many throughout the organization. Her contagious laugh, steady leadership, and unwavering dedication have left a mark on every station she’s worked in and every firefighter who’s had the privilege to serve alongside her.
We’ll miss seeing her on shift, hearing her stories and laugh around the kitchen table, and shenanigans around the fire station. When you worked with Ami, you were guaranteed to have a good shift!
Congratulations, Captain Brown, on a well-earned retirement and an outstanding career. You’ll always be part of the 1159 family. 🔥🚒❤️
